What is a Volunteer?
A volunteer is enthusiastic about learning, as well as creative, understanding and patient, and is willing to work with a variety of underprivileged youth of all skill sets and backgrounds.
What Does a Volunteer Do?
Volunteers can tutor, coach, read to Dreamers, chaperone fieldtrips, provide positive role modeling, and act as an all-around support. All volunteer work will be under the supervision of staff during the after-school program.
How Can I Be a Volunteer?
Prospective volunteers will be given an orientation provided by IHADLA staff at the Program site. Other than that, the only requirement is that volunteers arrive on time! To apply, please click on the “Apply Now” button to fill out an application, and we will contact you shortly.
