OUR MISSION
The mission of the "I Have a Dream" Foundation-Los Angeles is to help underprivileged children become productive citizens by providing a long-term program of academic enhancement, mentoring and cultural enrichment with an assured opportunity for higher education.
VOLUNTEER DUTIES
The volunteer tutors will provide friendship, learning, educational assistance, and support to Dreamers (students) by tutoring at least one hour per week and/or performing other duties as assigned, such as reading to a small group of Dreamers. Assignments will be under the supervision of staff during the after-school program.
Schedules will depend upon the location selected.

STUDENT NEEDS
Our students look to our program not only for academic support, social-emotional development, new learning opportunities, and college and career preparation, but also as a center of comfort, safety and stability. As a volunteer with our program, they will be looking to you as a role model and reliable source of support, as well.
