“I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles (IHADLA) is sponsoring 65 fourth graders at Sunrise Elementary School in Boyle Heights. If you are seeking education charities for children in Los Angeles, you have come to the right place.
As with all of our students (“Dreamers”), the 65 students of Program 19 come from an impoverished community: more than 75% of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and their median household income is below $30,000.
We are so excited to work with these wonderful young people for the next ten years, helping them achieve academic and lifelong success and giving them and their families access to many new opportunities.
Following is a video from our announcement of this class in May 2015. Our inauguration of Program 19 in Boyle Heights took place on August 27, 2015.
