Cuento de Luz Donates Beautifully Illustrated Books to IHADLA
Our third grade student Dreamers in Boyle Heights (Program 19) were thrilled to receive beautiful books from Cuento de Luz.
Social engagement is important to Cuento de Luz. All of the books they create allow our IHADLA Dreamers to use their imagination while at the same time learning about diversity, the importance of education and looking after our planet, intercultural understanding, and tolerance. Cuento de Luz makes a significant contribution to nonprofit education.

Aside from providing this beautiful book to disadvantaged children in America, like our Dreamer kids in Boyle Heights, Cuento de Luz translated the picture book “Life is Beautiful” into Swahili and sent it to Kenya; they also support a non-governmental organization there.

The book “Walking Eagle – The Little Comanche Boy” was made in support of the Aquila Foundation for the conservation of the environment and endangered species like the eagles. This title will be translated into Comanche language. Written by Cuento de Luz founder Ana Eulate and illustrated by Nívola Uya, the author describes it as “a magical tale that sings to nature and harmony between the different nations of the world.”

Ana Eulate was named one of the Top 100 women leaders in Spain in 2013. We are grateful to her and her organization Cuento de Luz for donating these beautiful books to our “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles Dreamers. Cuento de Luz books contain beautiful illustrations that expand the imagination while teaching important values for our third grade IHADLA students in Boyle Heights.
