Dreamers Tour Fox Sports

Last week, about 20 of our 12th graders from Boyle Heights were able to tour Fox Sports and the 20th Fox lot. The assistant to the president of Fox Sports and the vice presidents of broadcasting operations and production led the tour.

Our program coordinators were excited to see that many of our male Dreamers showed up for the event. Every student was respectful, attentive, and engaged. The Dreamers asked tons of questions at every stop.

They were able to experience a variety of professions and career possibilities within the company (E.g. broadcast engineering, graphics, Avid technology, script writing, production, audio editing, etc.). The Fox executives also explained the college and trade school internship programs offered at their company and explained how the opportunities could lead to employment. The Dreamers were encouraged to follow up if they were interested. After the Fox Sports tour, the students were able to get a broader view and tour the Fox movie lot.
