Program Assistant – Program 18, Watts

Grace Ocular earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She has an extensive research background in narrative conversations and child language development. Grace is currently a Research Laboratory Coordinator and has been a Research Assistant at Dr. Kimberly Kelly’s Child Language Interactions and Memory lab at CSULB since 2015.

Grace also works one-on-one with underprivileged youth as a mentor for Power4Youth in Long Beach, where she provides academic and social support to her mentee. Grace truly enjoys engaging with the youth, which is why she is honored to be part of the IHADLA team. She is absolutely thrilled she has the opportunity to cultivate her passion for education by supporting the Dreamers and encouraging them to achieve their dreams and goals. Grace is truly proud to be part of a program dedicated to making an impact in students’ lives.
