Kylia Lewis

Program Coordinator – Program 18, Watts

Kylia Lewis is proud and honored to be a part of the “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles team. In 2014, Kylia worked with Program 18 by running a girls group that followed the Girls On The Run curriculum, which encourages girls to feel empowered and courageous. Previously, she worked with the mentoring program M.E.S.A., which focuses on using STEM to help the students progress. Kylia is originally from Seattle, Washington. IHADLA has helped her connect with the diverse communities within LA.

Working toward her associate’s degree, she currently attends Santa Monica City College and is enrolled in her second year. She loves working with children, and she hopes to earn her Master of Social Work degree so that she can reach a higher population of children to show them their full potential.

Kylia admires the work that IHADLA does, loves seeing the gradual change in the Dreamers over time, and enjoys seeing the impact that IHADLA has in their lives.
