College and Career Coordinator – Program 16 + 17, Inglewood
Michel’le Owens is the College and Career Coordinator for Programs 16 and 17 from Inglewood. She was formerly the Program Assistant for Program 19 in Boyle Heights. She has been working with children for over eight years and enjoys being a part of the Dreamers’ lives. She is a student at California State University Los Angeles and is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders. She is passionate about the Dreamers’ academic success and assists in the after-school program by tutoring and conducting enrichment activities that support the Dreamers’ social and emotional development.
Michel’le is dedicated to helping children succeed in life, which makes working with the “I Have a Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles an amazing experience. She is excited to bring the knowledge and experiences she gained from prior programming into Programs 16 and 17. She looks forward to seeing the Dreamers grow academically, emotionally, and socially and is happy to be starting with them from such a young age.
