Philanthropist and Former Entertainment Pro Pamela Miller to Helm “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA – Pamela Miller has been tapped to lead the “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles (IHADLA). In her role as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of IHADLA, Ms. Miller, a former entertainment industry executive who, for more than 20 years, held senior-level business and legal affairs positions at ABC, CBS and Discovery, will be in charge of the education nonprofit’s operations and administration, fundraising and strategic oversight.
Having served on the IHADLA Board of Directors for two years, during which time she has been an important part of the organization’s Development, Program and Strategic Planning Committees, Pamela embarks on her new job with a deep understanding and commitment to the IHADLA mission: to provide long-term support to children and youth living in under-resourced communities to achieve their full potential, by promoting from an early age, values of higher education and career success, with opportunity guaranteed through financial resources, and other services.
Pamela’s passion about IHADLA’s work is palpable. She explains, “I am beyond thrilled to steer this extraordinary charity toward continued success and growth, and to keep positively impacting the lives of so many Dreamer scholars whose collective potential is truly unlimited.” For his part, Ronald Camhi, Chairman of IHADLA’s Board, says, “Pamela’s capacity to lead was apparent the moment she became a board member. She is exceptionally bright and completely aligned with IHADLA’s mission. As important, Pamela is ‘all in’ when it comes to the needs and promise of our Dreamer scholars.”
Pamela left the entertainment space in 2016 in favor of philanthropy. Most recently, she was the Director of Major Gifts for the Greater Los Angeles Area for the Jewish National Fund. Pamela has also served on the boards of The Baseball Network, The California Dance Institute and The ALS Association, Connecticut Chapter. A one-time practicing lawyer, Pamela earned a J.D. from The American University, Washington College of Law, and, before that, graduated magna cum laude from Boston University, College of Communications.

The “I Have A Dream” Foundation – Los Angeles is the only educational organization that works with elementary school children through high school graduation and to college enrollment and guarantees them tuition and support through their post-secondary education. Since its founding in 1987, IHADLA has supported over 7,200 community individuals – our students (Dreamer scholars), their parents and siblings. Toward that end, Dreamer scholars receive IHADLA’s full services of in- school, after-school, and year-round academic, social, and emotional support, designed to break the cycle of inter-generational poverty.
