Our programs provide individualized academic, emotional and experiential support to young people in L.A.’s under-served communities from first grade through high school and transitioning into college, along with guaranteed tuition support. We believe that when given equal access to the resources they need to succeed, all children can ignite their innate potential and achieve their dreams.
The programs are led by our program coordinators, who are in turn helped by program assistants. Each program is named according to the community in which it’s located, while the number connotes the sequential order in the number of classes IHADLA has supported. For example, the “Boyle Heights 19” program takes place in Boyle Heights, and is the 19th class we’ve supported.
