Programs 16/17 Served Youth from Inglewood

In 2006 and 2007, IHADLA sponsored two consecutive 1st grade classes at Daniel Freeman Elementary in Inglewood. Collectively, the programs are comprised of 95% African American and 5% Latino students.

Program 16 Dreamer Scholars graduated from high school in June of 2018, of which, 75% are enrolled in post-secondary education as current seniors, while the remainder joined the military or workforce.

Program 17 Dreamer Scholars graduated from high school in June 2019, and 80% of this group has enrolled in post-secondary education as current juniors.

Most of our Program 16 and 17 Dreamer Scholars are college graduates (Class of 2022 and 2023, respectively) currently in the workforce. They are presently considered Alumni.

Program 18 Serves Students from Watts

In 2012, IHADLA sponsored it’s 18th program at 99th Street Elementary in Watts.  The program is comprised of 94% Latino and 6% African-American students. Program 18 Dreamer Scholars are currently college sophomores and in the workforce.

Program 19 Serves Students from Boyle Heights

In 2015, IHADLA sponsored it’s 19th program in Boyle Heights at Sunrise Elementary.  The program is comprised of 97% Latino and 3% African-American students.  Program 19 Dreamer Scholars are currently in the 11th grade.

Program 20 Serves Students from Inglewood

In 2018, IHADLA sponsored its 20th program in Inglewood at Frank D. Parent Elementary School. The program is comprised of 55% African-American, 26% Latino, 19% multi-racial/other students. Program 20 Dreamer Scholars are currently in 6th and 7th grade.
