Program Coordinator – Program 19, Boyle Heights

Raquel Alvarado has worked with IHADLA since June 2007 as a Program Coordinator. Prior to joining IHADLA, she primarily worked with youth and families, including working as a Case Manager with Pasadena Head Start and El Nido Family Centers.

Raquel graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and received her Master of Arts degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. Raquel was initially attracted to IHADLA because of its long-term commitment to the Dreamers.

She is now honored to see the results of that long-term commitment firsthand as her alumni Dreamers are graduating from college, getting married, and beginning their own families.
