Sandy Pattison
Communication & Administration Coordinator
Sandy Pattison joins IHADLA with a diverse background in the nonprofit sector that includes experience in community organizing, education, fundraising, communications and event planning. Before joining IHADLA, she managed daily communication and administration projects for Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles, generating a range of mission based promotional materials in both English and Spanish to promote free concerts in MacArthur Park and make live music accessible for all. Additionally, during her undergraduate education she served as a Programming Assistant to Occidental College’s sexual violence education and prevention support program, developing and facilitating trainings and events to educate the community, as well as working for organizations such as The Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE) and the Public Interest Network.
Sandy graduated magna cum laude from Occidental College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both American Studies and Spanish Literature. Motivated by a passion to empower disadvantaged communities while combating the larger systems that perpetuate their oppression, Sandy is excited to share IHADLA’s mission and work with the world through digital communications including social media, the IHADLA newsletter and website while supporting the administrative needs of the organization as a whole.
