AH’LIZAH NELSON | Communications & Marketing Coordinator

Ah’lizah Nelson is a current AmeriCorps VISTA member proudly committing to her third year of service. She serves at the “I Have A Dream” Foundation- Los Angeles (IHADLA) as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator in the executive office.

Ms. Nelson is an LA native and graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned  her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in June 2022. Following graduation, she traveled overseas to participate in a diplomacy fellowship, serving as a Community Support Specialist at a refugee counseling center in Heidelberg, Germany. That experience deepened her commitment to intentional service and community impact. 

At IHADLA, Ah’lizah plays a vital role in advancing the organization’s mission through strategic communications and storytelling. She manages IHADLA’s digital presence, creates compelling content and develops materials to engage donors, stakeholders and the broader community. from leading the production of newsletters and social media campaigns to curating Dreamer Scholar stories and designing marketing materials, she ensures the organization’s voice remains consistent, authentic, and inspiring across all platforms.

Ah’lizah is honored to work with an organization that serves a community she belongs to and is continually inspired by the dedicated team of women who uplift and empower Dreamer Scholars each day.
