A Day at Maria’s Closet

Prom night is one of the most memorable moments in a high school student’s journey, an evening filled with laughter, dancing, and celebrating achievements. Thanks to the generosity of Maria’s Closet, several of our high school Dreamer Scholars will step into prom feeling confident and radiant after receiving stunning prom dresses.

Maria’s Closet invited our girls to a special free prom dress giveaway where they were paired with their own personal stylists. These amazing stylists guided and encouraged each girl, helping them select the perfect dress that reflected their individual style. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and support as our Dreamers explored racks of elegant gowns, envisioning themselves walking into prom confidently and gracefully.

But the magic didn’t stop there! At the end of the event, each of our Dreamers received a thoughtfully curated goody bag filled with treats and essentials to make their prom experience even more special. These small touches of kindness made the day unforgettable, ensuring our girls felt celebrated and cared for.

Our Dreamer Scholars work tirelessly to excel academically while balancing extracurricular activities and leadership responsibilities. However, the financial cost of attending prom can be a barrier for many families. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of Maria’s Closet and our community, our girls could experience the joy of preparing for prom without the added stress of financial constraints.
